In order to become eligible for the ARRT Post-primary Mammography Exam:
- You must be in compliance with MQSA requirements. (Refer to Useful Information tab on the main page for MQSA regs.)
- You must complete an additional 75 mammograms, screening and/or diagnostic. Supervision is not required.
- Additional clinical experience requirements:
- QC procedures, either film-screen or digital
- Special procedures, such as needle localization, breast MRI, biopsy, ductography, etc.
- Review and critique at least 20 mammograms with a radiologist.
You have a 24-month window to complete all procedures before applying to the ARRT. I recommend that you secure a facility to perform the 100 mammograms before initiating this education.
